In the middle of the range there is a full-time range safety officer that will ensure that everyone is following the safety protocols of the range. There is a 0% tolerance policy to anyone not following proper safety rules. Safety officer is also available should you have a problems while on the range.
Range Safety Rules:
•ALWAYS TREAT A FIREARM AS IF IT WERE LOADED
•KEEP THE GUN POINTED IN THE SAFEST DIRECTION
•FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU’RE READY TO SHOOT
•KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND
Lowcountry Guns and range and staff reserve the right to check firearms and ammo. Anything found unsafe will not be permitted on the range.
FIREARMS MUST STAY IN A CASE UNTIL SET UP AT THE FIRING LINE.
•Alcoholic beverages and mind altering substances are prohibited.
•Rules are in English and must be understood, failure to comply may result in expulsion from premises.
•Do not leave or enter the building with a loaded firearm.
•1 shooter on the firing line at a time.
Lowcountry Guns and Range reserves the right to refuse attendance to anyone.
•Proper eye and ear protection must be worn at all times while in range.
•Only use correct ammunition for the gun you’re shooting.
•If a “cease fire” is called stop shooting immediately. Stand clear of your firearm and remain away from the firing line.
•Shooters must be 21 or older to rent or buy handguns or handgun ammunition. 18 years old for shotguns and rifles.
•Range officers must be obeyed promptly.
•No open toed shoes or tank tops. No squib load, tracer rounds, explosive rounds or armor piercing rounds.
•It is every member’s responsibility to read and understand all the posted safety rules and regulations as they pertain to this shooting venue.
